Description

Indulge in these decadent Easy Slutty Brownies that combine a fudgy, rich brownie base with a luscious layer of gooey chocolate chip cookie dough. This layered dessert is a perfect treat for satisfying your sweet tooth with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Cookie Dough Topping

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare Brownie Batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  • Bake Brownie Layer: Pour the brownie batter into an 8×8 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper or greased. Bake for 15 minutes until the batter is just set around the edges.
  • Prepare Cookie Dough: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Assemble Layers: Remove the pan from the oven. Evenly spread the cookie dough topping over the partially baked brownie layer. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20–25 minutes until the cookie dough is golden and the brownie base is fully set.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the layered brownies to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy at room temperature or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgence, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  • Ensure the brownie layer is only partially baked before adding the cookie dough to maintain distinct layers.
  • Avoid overbaking to keep the cookie dough layer soft and gooey.
