Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup Butter (softened)
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Add-ins:
- 1 1/2 cups Dried cranberries
- 1 tablespoon Orange zest
- 1/2 cup White chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.Cream the butter and sugars
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.Add cranberries and orange zest
Gently fold in the dried cranberries and orange zest (and white chocolate chips if you’re using them).Scoop and bake
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.Cool and serve
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
- Use softened butter for easy mixing and to get that perfect chewy texture.
- If you want thicker cookies, chill the dough before baking.
